Objectives
The
object of the course is to provide comprehensive
medical terminology training to a consistently
high standard for persons who already posses
some secretarial or keyboard skills or for those working in a health care environment who wish to broaden their knowledge.
Upon
completion of the course each candidate will
have the option of undertaking a written examination to achieve an
AMSPAR (Association of Medical Secretaries,
Practitioners and Receptionists) Certificate in
medical terminology.
Examinations
are held three times a year and a minimum pass
mark of 75% must be achieved.
Training
Period
Training
hours are normally undertaken between 9am and
4pm (with one hour for lunch) or from 6pm- 9pm for the evening
course, but these can be
varied by request.
